Vasculitis

Vasculitis is an inflammation of the blood vessels. Inflammation can cause the walls of blood vessels to thicken and reduce the width of the passage through the vessel. If blood circulation is restricted, organ and tissue damage can occur. There are many types of vasculitis and most of them are rare. Vasculitis can affect one or more organs. The condition can be short-term or long-lasting. Vasculitis can affect anyone, although certain forms are more common in certain age groups.
